DAVID GERSHWIN
General Partner
David Gershwin brings more than a decade of transactional legal experience to the Atlantis Trident board. A practicing attorney and Long Island, New York native, David spent over ten years in mergers and acquisitions at JP Morgan Chase, working across complex deal structures, diligence processes, and the regulatory frameworks that determine whether a transaction holds up long after closing. Alongside his institutional career, David has advised across banking and digital finance, including engagements with Open Bank, Revolut, and Coinbase, where his work has spanned advisory support and transactional guidance for M&A teams. That exposure spans traditional banking, challenger banking, and digital assets — three sectors with very different regulatory postures and very different risk profiles. At Atlantis Trident Equity Ventures, David leads the firm's legal and M&A function. He advises on deal structure and documentation, oversees transactional diligence, and works closely with Managing Partner Aaron Dancel and the investment team on acquisition strategy — bringing institutional-grade legal judgment to a firm built around hands-on operational value creation.
